A note from Gurjit
Nobody is born knowing the difference between a deposit, down payment and closing costs. I explain the process in normal language, answer the questions you think might be too basic and help you understand what happens before you sign anything.
We will discuss financing, communities, property condition, offers, inspections, lawyers and possession. You are allowed to be excited. You are also allowed to read the documents before signing them—an idea I strongly recommend.
The process is explained one step at a time.
What we will look at together: mortgage pre-approval, down payment, closing costs, rEALTOR® role, property search, offer and deposit, inspection, conditions, lawyer, and possession. Each part matters differently depending on the property, the market and what you are trying to accomplish, so I will explain the trade-offs instead of handing you a generic checklist and wishing you good luck.
There are no ‘basic’ questions when it is your first purchase. Clear answers help you make a confident decision.
